The workshop was attended by more than 70 residents of the institution, who were briefed on the mental health thought several awareness lectures focused on the concept and importance of mental health culture. The lectures pointed out on how to maintain a positive mind amid daily stress, and the impact of physical and psychological exercises on lung function.
Colonel Mona Sorour Al Shuwaihi, Deputy Director of the Punitive and Correctional Institution, affirmed the importance of mental health of its inmates, by organizing various initiatives that support their mental health and enable them to adopt healthy lifestyles that contribute to their rehabilitation in preparation for their reintegration into society.
