Sharjah 24: Colonel Dr. Ali Al Kai Al Hamoudi, Director of the Eastern Region Police Department (ERPD), honoured the owners of construction companies in Khorfakkan for their application of security and safety requirement to preserve property in construction sites against theft.
The event witnessed the presence of Lt. Colonel Saeed Khalfan Al Naqbi, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department.
The honouring came after a campaign launched by the ERPD targeting construction companies with the aim of educating them to protect their private properties from theft through a number of measures and procedures.
Colonel Al Hamoudi stated that the campaign launched by the ERPD represented by the Criminal Investigation Department addresses a number of security and safety requirements related to protecting facilities under construction from theft crimes.
Colonel Dr. Al-Hamoudi added that the campaign included providing awareness-raising workshops dealing with a full explanation of how to prevent the facility under construction from theft.
The Director of the ERPD called on the owners of construction companies to raise awareness and adhere to preventive measures to reduce theft, and to report any suspicious movements around the site by calling the Eastern Region Police Operations Room 092370000.
