ER Police educates Khorfakkan Festival visitors on safety

Sharjah 24: The Eastern Region Police Department is continuing its third edition of the awareness campaign "Safe and Secure Tourism" as part of its participation in the second Khorfakkan Marine Festival. The campaign aims to educate festival visitors about essential security and safety measures in land, sea, and mountain activities.

Successful awareness campaign at the festival

Lieutenant Ali Saeed Makhlouf, Acting Director of Community Police in Dibba Al Hisn, confirmed that the "Safe and Secure Tourism" campaign is achieving significant success at the Khorfakkan Marine Festival.

He highlighted that the festival attracts large crowds of residents and visitors, making it an ideal platform for educating the public on Khorfakkan's marine heritage and promoting safety measures for various tourist activities.

Focus on security and safety in various activities

Lieutenant Makhlouf emphasised that the campaign provides valuable information to visitors about security and safety precautions when exploring Khorfakkan’s tourist attractions, whether in the city, during marine sports, or mountain activities.

The campaign seeks to ensure the well-being of visitors while engaging in outdoor and recreational activities.

Campaign reaches broad audience across the Eastern Region

The campaign, which aims to reach 100,000 visitors, started in Kalba and has been extended to Dibba Al-Hisn. It will continue across different cities and regions in the Eastern Province until the end of February. The initiative is carried out in collaboration with several public and private sector institutions.
