Delivered by Mohammed Khamis Al Kaabi, Director General of the Emirates Cancer Society, at Al Dhaid Cultural Centre, the lecture was attended by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah bin Howaiden, Chairman of the Al Dhaid Municipal Council, council members and the Director of Al Dhaid Municipality, Ali Musabah Al Tunaiji. Rashid Abdullah Al-Mahyan, Chairman of Parents Council, a number of members of the Sharjah Consultative Council, a group of invitees, several officials from government departments and the Sharjah Police, as well as a large audience volunteering enthusiasts were also present at the lecture.
The lecture addressed a number of important topics that stimulate societal energies of all kinds towards volunteering in the UAE, the important role of citizens and residents and other volunteering-related issues.
Speakers at the lecture commended the the support and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah to voluntary work as augmented by His Highness’s directives to launch the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work.
At the end of the lecture, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah bin Howiden honoured the lecturer and all the personalities who contributed to the success of the event.
