The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Dr. Hamid Jassim Al-Suwaiji Al-Zaabi, Chairman of the Committee, and attended by Her Excellency Sharifa Musa Al-Mazmi, the Rapporteur of the Committee, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al-Yasi, His Excellency Aisha Mohammed Bukhatir, His Excellency Nabila Ali Al-Hammadi, His Excellency Sheikha Ibrahim bin Juwaid. The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Ali Mahad Al-Suwaidi, Chairman of the Council, His Excellency Ahmed Saeed Al-Jarwan, Secretary-General of the Council and Legal Adviser to the Council, Yousef Hassan Al Ali, Abdul Aziz bin Khadim, Deputy Director of the Department of Sessions and Committees Affairs, and Huda Al Hammadi, Secretary of the Committee.
In the presence of His Excellency Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, Member of the Emirate of Sharjah's Executive Council and Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council, His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Mulla, Secretary General of the Sharjah Education Council, and Marwan Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director of the Legal Affairs Office, the committee reviewed various draft versions of the law.
The committee discussed its various articles after the Chairman of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah referred it to the Committee on Education, Culture, Media and Youth Affairs of the Council based on the text of the fourth item of Article 7 of Law No. 2 of 1999 regarding the establishment of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and pursuant to the provisions of Article 71 of the internal regulations of the Consultative Council .
The Sharjah Education Council is a key player in creating educational policies for education, as well as in supporting and expanding the education sector across all sectors. The committee addressed the many goals of the draft law contained in the establishment of the Sharjah Education Council.
The council's capabilities and the roles it plays in delivering high-quality education in collaboration with the relevant authorities were also evaluated and debated by the committee.
The committee gave its view on a number of the draft law's articles during consideration and discussion, and at the meeting's conclusion, the council approved the committee's reports for submission.
