Sharjah24: In commemoration of World Statistics Day (WSD), Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Director of the Department of Statistics and Community Development, made the following statement in commemoration of World Statistics Day: "The census enumeration phase of Sharjah Census 2022 will begin on October 20, which is World Statistics Day. It's a sign that people all over the world understand how important statistics are to growth and development plans that help nations move forward. This is especially true now that technology has advanced to the point where statistical tools based on the latest scientific research have been made to make the census process easier.
He continued: "Statistics from an indicator that provides the government with a clear vision of society's needs for decisions in the interest of individuals, leading to growth in health, education, and social sectors; improvement in infrastructure across all regions; increased economic diversity; and increased supply of essential goods and services. Sharjah is committed to the success of the census and relies on the collaboration of the targeted categories to produce results that satisfy the expectations of our wise leadership.
