Sharjah24: The director of the Sharjah Contact Centre at the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), Engineer Khalid Omar Al Naqbi, confirmed to "Sharjah 24" that the centre recently held several coordination meetings and discussed strengthening partnerships with a number of official bodies and institutions, including the Department of Economic Development in the Government of Sharjah and the Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club.
He said that the centre now serves as the official communication hub for eight government entities and is working to strengthen its ties with Khor Fakkan University so that it may better serve the needs of its academic client.
Al-Naqbi highlighted the current role of the centre in promoting the events taking place in the Emirate of Sharjah, such as the Al-Rawi Forum and the International Government Communication Forum , as well as the Kalba Festival for Short Plays, which will begin on Thursday, September 22nd.
