Sharjah 24: Fawaghe Farid Al Fardan, Events Officer and Member of the Media Committee of the Kalba Festival for Short Plays, stated that the festival would start on September 22, at the Kalba Cultural Centre.
She announced that 21 performances were presented to the festival’s jury, 14 of which were qualified, noting that the festival’s activities include practical seminars and a ceremony to honour the festival’s personality, the Emirati artist Khalifa Al Takhloofa.
She added, in statements to "Sharjah 24", that the festival's forum comes under the title "The Characteristics of Acting in Short Plays", in addition to the Eighth Sharjah Forum for Arab Theatre, and the Best Photography Award, which is a daily competition for the audience, along with the Best Actor and Actress competition.
