Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Summer Programme, "Our Holiday is Different," which included 17 sports clubs for girls and boys ages 7 to 12 and 13 to 17 , concluded on Thursday, September 1, with a closing ceremony hosted by the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC).

This came in the presence of the Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), Issa Hilal Al Hazami, the Chairman of the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, Sheikh Saud bin Eid Al Aziz Al Mualla, and other members of the club's board of directors and secretaries, heads of media committees, and media representatives.

There were other activities at the celebration, and keynote speaker Issa Hilal Al Hazami gave a speech in which he thanked everyone who had worked on the programme, and the following organisations were honoured: Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, Sharjah Sports Channel, Fujairah TV, Sharjah Volunteer Centre, Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled, Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled, and a number of participating clubs. The programme's organising committee revealed the winning clubs of the top spots in the programme.

As stated by Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), the Sharjah Summer Sports Programme, "Our Holiday is Different," is in its eighth year and has been a huge success in embodying the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, regarding the importance of caring for the junior category. He went on to say that the ruler's wife, the Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, supports and cares for the programme.
