Centered on an investigation of design solutions built from conditions of scarcity that illuminate a pathway forward to reorient our conversation on sustainability, this edition of the Triennial prioritises contextual solutions, resource sharing, and waste re-use. The SAT02 theme was announced in July 2022 as The Beauty of Impermanence: An Architecture of Adaptability and the full curatorial statement can be found here.
During this programme, Oshinowo will also introduce an initial selection of participants for the edition.
Impermanence, Adaptability and the Potential of Contextual Architecture will be will be held at 4pm on Saturday September 10, 2022 in the auditorium of Sharjah Architecture Triennial headquarters at Al Qasimiyah School. The programme is free and open to the public but advance registration is required and capacity is limited. Please register here.
