Sharjah24: Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority said on the occasion of “Emirati Women's Day”, We celebrate the Emirati Women's Day this year under the slogan "Inspiring Reality... Sustainable Future", to recognise their role in the development of society, along with highlighting the numerous milestones achieved by the UAE in women empowerment. Emirati women have been an honourable role model for the Arab world, as well as globally.
This shows that working towards women empowerment and honing their skills and abilities are necessary to create a sustainable future in line with the ‘Principles of the 50’.
The UAE’s wise leadership has paid immense attention to women empowerment issues in the Emirates and have put a lot of effort to support and promote their role and participation in the development process and comprehensive revitalisation of the country.
On this occasion, we would like to appreciate the Emirati women’s role, which has proven that with strong diligence and determination, it is possible to achieve greater heights. Women have assumed many decision-making responsibilities in various institutions, including the Sharjah Airport Authority, where they hold 48 per cent of the leadership positions and are a vital partner in the achievement of many pioneering milestones.
Currently, Emirati women constitute 44 per cent of the national workforce in the authority, reflecting our dedication to empowering and supporting their role in the success, sustainability, and growth of the nation's social, economic, and cultural ecology.
