Sharjah24: Sharjah Documentation and Archives Authority (SDAA) concluded its summer programme aimed at consolidating documentary and archival awareness among children and young people, which includes the provision of five specialized workshops for the affiliates of the Child Center in Al Raqqa, under the slogan "My Documents is My Identity", with the participation of more than 80 students.
The titles of the workshops presented during the program varied, and during the workshops, which lasted for 5 days, the children were taken on a journey to introduce the concept of the document, its types, and its history, starting with the use of drawings, symbols and inscriptions on rocks, then on wooden boards, and scribes, that is, white newspapers made of cloth.

At the end of the programme, children's love of reading was enhanced, and the importance of reading was emphasised in educating them, expanding their mental abilities, and raising their awareness. It also introduced the Authority's library and the specialised books it contains, and encouraged them to make use of them. The workshops received great interaction from the participating children, who expressed their happiness with these workshops, which were presented in a distinct interactive format, as they contain valuable information on documentation and archiving, the richness of Sharjah's history, and the importance of preserving, writing and documenting it for the service of future generations.
