Taking place in July and August, the event targets 35 male and female students, aged between 5 and 13 years.
The participation of Sharjah Police in the children's summer camp aims to enhance security and safety in the environment of school students of both sexes, and to increase their security awareness by presenting a number of awareness lectures with a scientific approach that suits their different age groups.
It included various lectures on traffic rules, bullying and the optimal use of social media, as well as enhancing the sense of security, instilling sound values and principles in addition to a special display of the k9 police dog unit.
The camp also included a series of workshops through which the Sharjah Police aimed to develop children's skills and increase the outcome of their cultural, intellectual and practical knowledge, in various levels that correspond to their ages.
The Community Police Department concluded its activities with a tour with “my policeman friend”, which included field tours of the community police patrols, through which children were introduced to the duties of the policeman during his work.
