Sharjah 24: With the participation of 60 female members, the Chess and Culture Club for Sharjah Women concluded its summer camp, which was held with the slogan "Our Holiday is Different", under the Sharjah Sports Council, and which was allocated for age groups from 6 to 12 years.
The closing ceremony of the camp was attended by Her Excellency Najla Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chess and Culture Club for Sharjah Women, and Her Excellency Afra Al Mashghouni, Secretary General of the Club.
The camp included many cultural and recreational activities, as it attracted many talented chess players.
The camp was held in cooperation with many entities, most notably the Sharjah Police, the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment, the Sharjah Museums Authority, and the Al Bataeh Municipality.
Her Excellency Najla Al Shamsi confirmed that the club is always keen to set up such camps in order to invest the free time of girls and develop their creative skills in various fields.
She stressed that the success of the summer camp came with the combined efforts of all government entities involved in organising it.
For her part, Her Excellency Afra Al Mashghoni stressed the importance of holding such camps on a regular basis in order to teach girls new skills during the summer vacation.
