Mohammed Rashid bin Bayat, the vice chairman of the board of Sharjah Charitable International, has remarked that caring for orphans is one of Islam's noblest achievements because it rewards the orphan for the warmth and affection he received from his father. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, had a strong interest in seeing that the organisation's directives on the level of care and assistance it offered to its beneficiaries were translated accurately , so the organisation set out to create a unique mechanism for sponsorship programmes with the intention of increasing the number of organisations that were represented by classifying the guarantees into five distinct categories. About 26,547 orphans are included, as well as 358 examples of sponsorship for low-income families, 83 cases of sponsorship for imams and teachers, 57 cases of sponsorship for students, and 57 cases of sponsorship for people with disabilities.
He emphasised that the organisation's long-term goal is to aid in the fulfilment of humanitarian initiatives both inside and outside of the country. noting that the organisation's Department of Sponsors and Orphan Affairs works hard all year to find the deserving and needy to give comprehensive care for them and also incorporate new guarantees from orphans, students, individuals with disabilities, and other categories.
