Sharjah 24: Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Charitable International (SCI), expressed his pride in the UAE being at the forefront of humanitarian aid donor countries globally for several consecutive years, proving it is a symbol of kindness and fraternity.
On the occasion of the World Humanitarian Day, which falls on August 19, Sheikh Saqr said that the Sharjah Charity International has a share in this giving in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and with the support of individuals and institutions, especially media institutions in general, in communicating the SCI’s message to its audience, thanking everyone who contributed with an idea and spread a word that supports the SCI and raises its charitable shares.
He explained that the SCI's board of directors is looking forward, during the coming period, to implementing more projects that aim primarily at investing in people, enabling them to rely on themselves and move forward with steady steps on the path drawn by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. To achieve this, new ideas have been developed and a number of main files have been discussed, the most important of which are the features of the SCI’s policy during the coming period, and listening to several suggestions to enhance the Charity’s endeavours towards advancing charitable work in Sharjah, developing the charitable and humanitarian work system, and strengthening relations with government and private institutions and departments, while focus will be on projects associated with the basic needs of the human being, especially the needy individuals and families.
