Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC)’s branch in Kalba won the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work 2022 in its nineteenth edition in the field of voluntary participation in the category of government institutions.
In a ceremony organised by the award recently at the House of Wisdom in Sharjah, to honour the winners under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, Moza Mohammed Al Weshahi, Director of the Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC)’s branch in Kalba, received the award from Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman bin Salem Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Ruler’s Office.
Moza Al Weshahi expressed her pride in SLC winning the award, represented by the Kalba Branch, which contributes, through its various categories, the consolidation of the culture of volunteer work in the UAE, and the promotion of various voluntary initiatives and projects.
She added that the SLC based on its institutional values and translating the directives of the wise leadership, pays great attention to adopting and launching effective initiatives and successful projects and implementing targeted community participation.
She highlighted that such efforts serve people and develop society in a manner that translates the principles of goodness and giving called for by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
