Sharjah24: Engineer Abdullah Ahmed Al Ali, Deputy Director of Roads Maintenance at the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA), stated that the Authority is working hard to raise the efficiency and development of Sharjah roads and achieve traffic safety to the highest degree, using the latest technology.
In exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24", Eng. Abdullah Al Ali confirmed that road maintenance is currently through the "asphalt recycling" technology, and the authority has tested this technology on several roads to prove the success of this technology, which has several advantages, including higher quality, higher lifespan and lower cost.
The engineer added that the authority has cooperated with the General Command of the Sharjah Police to provide an alternative route during the works to avoid affecting the traffic movement, and the road works will be completed in the current stage and the road will be fully reopened in Al Khalidiyah on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, after which the construction of pedestrian corridors and parking lots will begin.
