Sharjah24: The Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC) has begun broadcasting awareness messages about the dangers of fraud and electronic extortion to the public through cinema screens in all languages as part of the "Be aware" awareness campaign launched in July this year by the Departments of Media and Public Relations, Investigations and Criminal Investigations to raise awareness of fraud and electronic extortion.
Keeping the public aware of the dangers of cybercrime is an important part of the Ministry of Interior's goal to expand and enhance security awareness over a wide range in order to reach a community that is well-informed of the threats.

For Brigadier General Aref Hassan bin Hudaib, Director of the Sharjah Police Media and Public Relations Department, the goal of showing public safety messages in movie theatres is to raise awareness and mobilise people from all social groups to work together to keep the community safe in accordance with the generous care of the rational leadership.

Brigadier General Aref bin Hudaib noted that cinema screens are a new window to increase community members' knowledge, complimenting Sharjah Police and "Vox Cinemas" for their constructive collaboration in promoting awareness of the challenges and hazards facing society.
