The football team of the newly promoted Al Batayeh Club will leave for the ADNOC Professional League Saturday, to the Turkish city of Izmit to organise the team's summer preparatory camp in preparation for the new football season, which begins on September 2.
The delegation includes 26 players, and the camp extends until August 22, during which the team will play 4 friendly matches that were agreed upon at the request of Brazilian coach Caio Zanardi.
Tariq Al Khanbashi, a member of the board of directors of the Al Batayeh Football Company, confirmed that the team will play the first match on August 3 against the Saudi Khaleej Club, then meet the Saudi Al Batin F.C. and the Kuwaiti Al-Sahel SC on August 7 and 13, respectively, and then the Bahraini Al Khaldiya FC, at a time to be determined later.
He indicated that the team will enter the final stage of preparation after returning from the camp, and is likely to play one friendly match before the start of the new season.
Al Khanbashi explained that the team’s management is working to provide the coach’s technical needs in coordination with the technical committee headed by Adnan Al Taliani, pointing out that since the decision was issued to form the football company, everyone has been working to provide the team’s needs of national and foreign players, and provide the UAE Professional League with all administrative, security and media needs.
