Sharjah 24: Hamad Salem bin Hamouda Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Batayeh Cultural and Sports Club, inaugurated the club’s summer activity for this year under the theme “Sharjah Summer, Our Holiday is Different,” in the presence of several officials, public figures and citizens.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Hamad Salem bin Hamouda Al Ketbi thanked His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah for his unlimited support for cultural and sports activities in the Emirate in general and in Al Batayeh Club in particular. He stressed the importance of the summer activity for students as a step forward in the way of developing their skills and investing their time and summer vacation in useful engagements.
The Chairman of the Cultural and Media Committee, Abdullah Sultan bin Saluma Al Ketbi, also delivered a speech in which he highlighted the importance of summer activities.
The attendees watched a documentary about the “Our holiday is Different” followed by the presentation of edutainment programmes, including a magic show, cartoon characters, cultural competitions and other activituies that added the celebration more joy and happiness.
The programmes will run until August 11 eleventh.
