Sharjah 24: In an effort to promote the culture of reading, and with the aim of encouraging children to read and learn during the summer vacation, the UAE Board on Books for Young People (UAEBBY) is organising a summer camp during the months of July and next August, where it will hold 10 reading sessions in Sharjah and Dubai libraries, dealing with books that won the "Etisalat Award for Arabic Children’s Literature" in the 2021 edition.
The camp begins with five reading sessions in Dubai libraries during the month of July, including workshops and virtual meetings with authors.

Visitors to Sharjah libraries, including children and young adults, will learn about the winning authors of the Etisalat Award during virtual meetings, and participate in storytelling sessions on August.

The council called on children wishing to participate in its summer camp sessions to register through the libraries of Sharjah and Dubai, and the camp allows participating children to meet virtual through the Zoom application with the authors of the winning books, after introducing each book, to give the children the opportunity to ask their questions with each author about the books.
