Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) will launch a new edition of "Our Distinguished Holiday" on Sunday, July 17, 2022, with the participation of 17 Sharjah establishments and sports clubs.
The SSC estimates that the programme will welcome 100 male and female participants aged 7–12 years and 13–17 years. The "Our Distinguished Holiday" programme provides integrated activities that combine diversity in the domains of culture, sports, and entertainment, and it provides an opportunity to uncover skills and pursue various hobbies.
Yasir Omar Al Dukhi, Director of the Sports and Community Events Department, Chairman of the Organising Committee, and General Supervisor, said that the programme takes into account the commitment to all preventive and precautionary measures that protect the safety of participants and spectators.
He highlighted that lectures, educational workshops, sports commentary, photography, painting, and electronic games, memorising and recital of the Holy Qur'an, recreational trips, competitions, and fine arts are all part of the programme.
