Al Hazami pointed out that the cricket stadium is one of the oldest and most essential sports landmarks in Sharjah and has shown international presence by hosting many tournaments and matches.
He stressed that the council appreciates the significant role that the stadium plays in enriching sports in Sharjah, especially since its establishment in 1982; it has been the scene of international sporting events of sports other than cricket. Therefore, the council will gladly support in all ways it can for cricket sport to thrive.
