Sharjah24: The Health Promotion Department (HPD) of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah announced, during a press conference held on Tuesday at Al jada in Sharjah, the launch of its awareness programme "Lifestyle", which aims to raise the level of health awareness among community members and guide them on how to follow a healthy lifestyle.
The programme consists of various events, educational activities, and awareness initiatives, the most prominent of which is the health consultation service that the department's nutrition specialists will provide, in addition to the healthy shopping initiative and how to choose healthy food products, and the "Let’s Walk” initiative, to raise awareness of physical activities; in addition to the Healthy Mall initiative, promoting a healthy environment and healthy lifestyle.

Eman Rashid Saif, Director of the HPD, stressed the department’s keenness to enhance the health of community members and motivate them to adopt a healthy lifestyle, through educational and awareness programmes in light of the great support and directives of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, President of the Supreme Council Family Affairs in Sharjah.

The "Health Consultations" initiative aims to educate community members the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, correcting health misconceptions, and answering general inquiries related to a healthy lifestyle.

While the “Let’s Walk” initiative aims to raise the level of health awareness among individuals about behavioral practices and misconceptions associated with physical activity and to encourage individuals to adopt sports activity as a daily healthy lifestyle.
