Sharjah24: Health Promotion Department (HPD) of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, in cooperation with the University of Sharjah, organised a virtual awareness session on the impact of the work environment on health, through which it targeted a number of employees of government bodies and institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah, as part of its celebrations of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, and in implementation of the initiatives of the phase The second of the "Wazen" programme.
The session, which witnessed a wide participation of employees, highlighted the factors that affect health in the work environment and the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles during and after work, in addition to talking about the guideline for office exercises used. Which deals with important aspects of behaviors affecting employee health.
Her Excellency Eman Rashid Saif, Director of Health Promotion Department, confirmed that organising this awareness session comes within the framework of the department’s keenness to raise the level of health awareness and encourage government employees to adopt healthy habits that maintain their safety, through the launch of many programs and initiatives, foremost of which was the “Wazen” programme. “Which is an important step through which the administration aims to enhance the quality of life in the work environment, advance national energies, enhance productivity, and provide support to male and female employees.
