Sharjah24: The Consultative Council of the College of the Noble Qur’an at Al Qasimia University (AQU) was briefed on the college accomplishments in the field of developing academic programs, scientific research and community service, and its role in qualifying students with the finest educational programs and continuing the developmental stages in order to achieve its goals in line with its objectives in graduating students based on science.
This came during the council virtual meeting, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Salman Al Hammadi, Director of Zakat Resources and Information Department at the Zakat Fund, Chairman of the Board, and attended by members of the Council; His Excellency Sultan Matar bin Dalmouk Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holy Quran and Sunnah Foundation in Sharjah, and His Excellency Dr. Abdul Allah Salem bin Hamouda Al Ketbi, Vice President of the Municipal Council, Director of the Social Services Office in Maliha, His Excellency Khalifa Hassan Khalaf, Director of the Holy Quran Radio in Sharjah, and Professor Dr. Abdul Karim Othman Ali, Dean of the College of the Holy Quran.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Council commended the great support given by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in reinforcing Al Qasimia University.
He stressed the consultative council's keenness to complete all efforts made at the university to achieve tangible development in the fields of the college's work and to develop opportunities for communication with the community and partners in order to achieve the vision and mission of the college and the university.
Al Hammadi pointed out the importance of the role played by the College’s Consultative Council in contributing to the promotion and support of the college’s march and working to advance it in all fields, and continuing to support the development of the college in education, scientific research and community service.
After that, Dr. Abdul Karim Othman Ali, Dean of the College of the Holy Qur’an, gave a detailed explanation in addressing the academic and educational status of the College and touched on the various roles of the College and its efforts to improve its programs and community service, and what it sought throughout the period to develop in various academic programs and develop scientific research efforts.
Then the Dean of the College briefed the Consultative Council on the program of the first international forum for students of the Colleges of the Holy Qur’an, which will be organized by the College in September of this year and will be entitled: ((Methods of Teaching the Holy Qur’an in the Present Era - The Roots of Deriving and Supply Efforts)), with an accompanying symposium entitled: Efforts The Emirate of Sharjah in the service of the Holy Quran.
The Consultative Council expressed its appreciation for all the efforts made in the college to serve the Book of God Almighty in teaching and education, and in turn made a number of recommendations, which are aimed at strengthening the college’s march to achieve its mission and goals as it is the first college of the Holy Qur’an in the United Arab Emirates.
