Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Police (SP), represented by the Department of Criminal Investigation, launched a security awareness initiative for its employees who were granted annual leave.

The initiative came with the aim of raising the level of security awareness among employees and their families in the event of travel during holidays, and to secure the home and valuables from theft, especially in the summer season, as it is considered one of the favourable periods of travel.

Colonel Omar Ahmed Balzod, Director of the Department of Criminal Investigation, indicated that the initiative came in the interest of the SP to spread awareness messages, starting with its employees and even members of society, as they have a major role in spreading this culture to the largest possible segment of the population. 

He revealed that the initiative comes in the form of a text message sent to the employee in the event his annual leave is approved, and the text message includes awareness statements for the employee with an electronic link, including a complete summary of the instructions and advice to be taken in property and valuables, before leaving the house in the event that the employee and theri family decide to travel during their leave. 

The Director of the Department of Criminal Investigation added  that SP decided to develop a future plan, through cooperation with its partners from the government departments and entities in the Emirate of Sharjah, to adopt this initiative and be among the work mechanisms approved in the internal regulations of each entity.
