Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Police (SP) revealed the "Alert Trailer" project, which was locally manufactured by 100% Emirati cadres of SP, and is characterised by unique environmentally friendly technology. The project contributes to controlling road security, enhancing safety and reducing traffic accidents.

The "Alert Trailer" project aims to prevent the occurrence of consecutive traffic accidents on the roads, as the trailer will replace the traffic patrols in closing roads during a traffic accident, heavy vehicle breakdown, fire or other accidents that may occur on the roads, which will contribute in allowing an appropriate time to alert motorists.

The trailer is characterised by strong solar-powered lights, alerts from farthest possible distance, according to special standards and in different climatic conditions, and will contribute to the optimal provision of security assets from vehicles and traffic patrols, in addition to ensuring the safety of police’s lives while performing their work.

Lt. Colonel Mohammed Alai Al Naqbi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department at Sharjah Police (SP), confirmed that this project is a solution to accidents that may arise during road accident planning processes, or traffic regulation, expressing his happiness with this environmentally friendly innovation.

He added that the manufacturing time took 7 consecutive days, and more trailers are being manufactured, noting that the SP owns a laboratory for traffic innovation, which is a centre for generating ideas and carrying out tests before translating them on the ground.
