Sharjah 24: The Arabic Language Academy (ALA) in Sharjah participated in the session organised by the Arabic Language Academy in Khartoum at Al Neelain University, under the title "The Arabic Language: Reality and Ambition".
The event witnessed the presence of Dr. Mohammed Safi Mustghanmi, Secretary General of Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, Dr. Al Hadi Adam Mohammed Ibrahim, Vice-Chancellor of Al Neelain University, Dr. Bakri Mohammad Al Haj, Head of the Arabic Language Academy in Khartoum, and moderated by Dr. Salwa Othman Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Al Neelain University.
During the event, via visual communication technology, the Secretary-General of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah emphasised the great interest and care that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to promoting the Arabic language and its future, especially in the African continent.
He pointed out that the efforts being made to empower the Arabic language are appreciated, especially with the state of synergy and cooperation witnessed between Arabic language academies that would bear fruit.
He suggested that the bodies, agencies, and institutions based on the Arabic language coordinate their efforts with academies and centres of the Arabic language, in addition to the necessity of implementing the decisions made by the academies in order to activate practical mechanisms to serve the Arabic language.
The Head of the Arabic Language Academy in Khartoum, and the Vice-Chancellor of Al Neelain University, expressed thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his generous support, and initiatives that contribute to supporting the Arabic language and enabling its presence among the languages of the world.
