Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) intensified its efforts to complete the first phase of connecting the natural gas network to Al Bataeh area by implementing the natural gas main line from Sharjah to Al Bataeh area with a length of 26 km and a cost of 7.87 million dirhams.
The first phase is planned to be completed during April 2023, to serve the area and a number of the areas and development projects, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to deliver natural gas services to the new areas.
Engineer Amna bin Hadda, Director of the Natural Gas Department, stated that the implementation of the first phase of a project has begun and the procedures for providing materials, human cadres and equipment necessary for the implementation of the project have been completed.
This project is considered the first phase within the main project to deliver natural gas to the Al Bataeh area in 6 phases, at a total cost of 21 million and 890 thousand dirhams, and a length of more than 200 km.
She added that the SEWA is working to take advantage of modern technological applications to provide services to the residents of the Emirate of Sharjah in accordance with the best international standards.
