“The SCHS believes in the right of all persons with disabilities to education, and one of the most important objectives of the continuing education programme is to ensure the promotion of this right, in addition to the continuous development of personal and professional skills,” Sheikha Jameela said.
By providing specialised programmes and supporting students through academic guidance and follow-up, the SCHS seeks to provide optimal educational opportunities and ensure their educational continuity in accordance with international best practices.
Sheikha Jameela added: “In January 2020, the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services obtained international accreditation for teaching Pearson BTEC programmes that combine global educational content and assessment supported by services and technology to enable more effective teaching and learning on a large scale. Pearson BTEC has been adopted by Masarat Center for Development and Empowerment due to the ability to benefit from the flexibility it provides, which suits the needs of the affiliated students.
She explained that the international accreditation constituted a qualitative leap in the work of the centre and the study of students within its classes with a clear methodology and strategy from the beginning until the student's graduation, hoping to achieve more distinguished results.
This came after the ceremony of handing over certificates of completion of continuing education programmes "BTEC", which was organised by the SCHS Masarat Centre for Development and Empowerment on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Al Zahra Hall at the University of Sharjah.
