"Be safe, my nation" addresses digital security

Sharjah 24: Lt. Col. Mohammed bin Haider, an electronic security specialist at the Sharjah Police, confirmed Monday during the Sharjah Police Media and Public Relations Department's "Be safe my nation" programme, that: "Reality imposes tremendous development in the technological and digital world on societies, so that the digital world today has become the language of the era.
Captain Ahmed Al Hammadi and First Lieutenant Manea Al Naqbi hosted the show, which airs live on Sharjah Radio every Monday morning and covers a wide range of topics.

Lieutenant-Colonel Mohammed bin Haider talked about cybercrime, its different kinds, and how it shows up. He also talked about the efforts of Sharjah Police to improve security awareness and protect all parts of society from cybercrime by putting in place electronic security awareness initiatives.

"We are working within an annual plan in the Criminal Investigation Department's Cybercrime Combating Branch to implement several annual awareness campaigns for different age groups, particularly school and university students who use electronic games and various modern programmes," said Captain Rashid Al Nuaimi of Sharjah Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Captain Rashid Al Nuaimi told people not to give in to online pirates' blackmail and to call the police right away, if they need help.
