'Aman Ya Beladi' discusses prospects for innovation in SP

Sharjah 24: The Aman Ya Beladi programme prepared by the Department of Media and Public Relations at the Sharjah Police (SP) every Monday morning, discussed a number of diverse topics through its various stations.
The guest of the programme, Colonel Naji Al Hammadi, a forensic evidence expert at the Forensic Laboratory in SP, spoke about the approach adopted by the SP in promoting a culture of innovation in police work, which comes in line with the directions of the UAE government in establishing a stimulating environment and developing innovation to government work.

Colonel Naji Al Hammadi stated, with regard to the field of innovation, that the laboratory obtained a patent for a device examining the validity of bullets, one of the innovative achievements in the security, criminal and specialised fields.

He pointed out that this is qualitative leap added by this invention in the field of forensic evidence with its impact on the police work system and the prevention and reduction of crime.

For his part, Captain Saeed bin Hadda, Director of the Innovation Branch in the Department of Strategy and Performance Development at the SP, spoke about the concept of innovation, its fields and the extent to which it is related to criminal work.

He highlighted the keenness of SP to achieve the national innovation strategy through its launch of many initiatives and projects.

He added that SP aims to promote a culture of innovation in police work, and providing an environment for innovators and innovative ideas to advance the security work system in all its fields, stressing that innovation is an essential element in the values and objectives of the Ministry of Interior to face future challenges.
