Sharjah24: His Excellency Dr. Obaid Saif Al Zaabi, Chairman of Kalba Municipal Council, chaired the first meeting of the regular session of the 17th legislative term, after the council was reconstituted.
The meeting witnessed the election of a Vice-President, Salem Muhammad Al Kindi, by a majority of votes. The Council also re-formed its specialised committees, which include various work sectors.
In exclusive statements to “Sharjah 24”, the Chairman of the Council extended his deepest thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for the trust that His Highness entrusted to the chairman and members of the Council.
His Excellency added that the first meeting of the Council aimed to enhance acquaintance between the attendees, organise the administrative situation in accordance with regulations and laws, and discuss ways to improve the services provided to customers.
Al-Zaabi explained that a coordination meeting was held with the managers and representatives of most government departments in Kalba, in order to anticipate the future and discuss visions and perceptions in various aspects of work in the city.
The Chairman of Municipal Council affirmed the keenness of the Council and the various departments to keep pace with the aspirations of the wise leadership and implement development plans to advance the various sectors in the city, particularly the tourism, service and cultural sectors.
