Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Municipal Council headed by His Excellency Salem Ali Al Muhairi, held a coordination meeting with the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) headed by His Excellency Ali Mehad Al Suwaidi.
This meeting comes within the framework of the efforts of the Sharjah Municipal Council in seeking to enhance cooperation between all the councils of cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah and to unify efforts in order to raise standards in all matters related to the living conditions of the residents of the Emirate of Sharjah.
In his welcoming speech, His Excellency Al Muhairi praised the SCC's development of laws. His Excellency also praised its pioneering role in developing the performance of government institutions and entities by reviewing their work mechanism and discussing them in open parliamentary sessions.
For his part, His Excellency Mehad Al Suwaidi thanked the Sharjah Municipal Council for holding this meeting and his keenness to activate the role of the Sharjah Municipal Council’s committees through coordination with the SCC’s committees and exchanging observations to serve the public interest.
During the meeting, a review of the tasks of the Sharjah Municipal Council’s committees and the competencies contained in the executive regulations of the municipal councils of the Emirate of Sharjah based on Resolution No. (33) of the Sharjah Executive Council was presented, where views were exchanged on how to activate some of the tasks and the preparation of proposals for reviewing these tasks in coordination with the Department of Municipalities Affairs and municipal councils of the cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.
