Al Hammadi stressed the award's keenness to consolidate the concept of volunteer work with social responsibility within its categories and programmes.
Al Hammadi explained that the social responsibility of institutions consists in carrying out voluntary work or sponsoring events in the community, such as the initiative to implement voluntary works that serve the community, or institutions carrying out work towards their employees with the aim of their welfare, strengthening their relations and developing their skills.
Al Hammadi praised the voluntary efforts being witnessed in the UAE by government and private agencies. He added that it is a positive phenomenon and an indication of the rapid development of the modern approach to voluntary work based on social responsibility.
Secretary-General of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work stressed that all parties have become aware of the importance of volunteering, whereas the concept of volunteering and integrative partnerships has been established between agencies, in addition to the race of some authorities to train their staff in different fields of volunteering.
Al Hammadi noted that Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work always seeks to strengthen partnerships and joint cooperation with various government and private agencies, in order to contribute to instilling the culture of volunteering as a human culture, based on serving the UAE and humanity as a whole.
