Sharjah 24: Salem Abdel Rahman of the UAE National Team and Sharjah Cultural Chess Club won the fourth round of the fifth Sharjah Masters International Chess Championship over Pouya Idani of Iran, bringing his total to 3.5 points.
The tournament is being held under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, with the participation of 80 male and female players from 48 countries competing for tournament prizes totalling $60,000.
