Sharjah24: The Sharjah Charity International (SCI) announced that during the first quarter of this year, it received 493 donations of used electrical appliances and sold them to the companies concerned with recycling and used their proceeds to purchase new devices and hand them over to the eligible people that obtained approval to help furnish their homes.

Salem Talib Al Hammadi, Director of the Logistics Department, said that the association received a large package of various appliances, including refrigerators, cooker ovens, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, and several other appliances, stressing that all usable devices were delivered to families registered in the aid lists in furnishing their homes.

Al Hammadi called on the public to hand over more than their needs of used devices to represent the beginning of reconstruction for the homes of the needy who need household appliances that are indispensable to ensure a decent living.
