Sharjah24: In cooperation with the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), the Cultural and Media Office at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA), as part of the activities of the ongoing 13th Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF), organised a cultural and entertaining meeting for children, aiming to raise children awareness about the Arabic poetry.
During the meeting, poet Salha Ghabash, head of the Cultural and Media Office, accompanied by Laila Abu Zekry, the artistic production supervisor at the Cultural and Media Office, spoke to the participating children and adults who visited the exhibition.
Commenting on this, Salha Ghabash stated that the aim of this meeting is to introduce the children to the literary heritage of their forefathers and introduce them to the most important feature of literary poetry, giving them an opportunity to practice the musical rhythm in the poetic poem.
Other courses and workshops will be organised, in light of the importance of the literary heritage and the Arabic culture for the children and young persons.
