Sharjah 24: Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) (Al Tamkeen) concluded its seasonal campaign "Zakki" launched during the holy month of Ramadan aiming to provide humanitarian support, service and care for orphans and their families in Sharjah, the central and eastern regions.
The Foundation was able to invest the donations of the givers in the two projects of Zakat and Ramadan provisions to benefit 2675 orphans of 1122 families, and also in supporting other projects throughout the year such as providing financial aid, health and educational support and covering their needs, which in turn draws a good impact on the families of orphans in order to achieve a decent life and enhances the opportunities for empowering them in the various fields provided, and the donations of individuals during the campaign contributed to providing the Ramadan Meer to 100 families.
The projects of the "Zakki" campaign carried a humanitarian and social character, as the few families targeted social contact with their surroundings, with the aim of deepening the bonds of communication between them and their affiliates and making them aware of the presence of the Foundation by their side.
Her Excellency Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of SSEF said that Zakki campaign has made many achievements that were implemented during the holy month of Ramadan, and contributed to providing a decent life to serve the families of orphans, as it included many vital projects dedicated to supporting the families and reducing the financial burden on the guardians to overcome the difficulties facing their livelihood.
Her Excellency Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi said that "Zakki" campaign was characterised by generous contributions from community members, and community partners highlighting the promotion of social responsibility, achieving social prosperity, as the Foundation’s services and programmes provided to its affiliates are centered on the vision of achieving sustainability in empowering orphans and their guardians and providing a supportive and enabling environment in order to achieve a decent life.
Sheikha Ali Saeed Al Suwaidi, Acting Director of the Emirates Red Crescent - Sharjah Centre, said that the Red Crescent commend SSEF efforts and its role in caring for and serving orphan families.
Sheikha Ali Saeed Al Suwaidi emphasised the importance of such an initiative in achieving and supporting the mission of the humanitarian institution that seeks to empower and care for orphans and provide their needs in a way that contributes to preserving their dignity.
"Zakki" campaign is one of the most important vital economic empowerment projects implemented by Al Tamkeen to support the orphans family financially and reduce the financial burden on the guardians s in order to overcome the difficulties encountered in the livelihood of families affiliated with the Foundation.
