Sharjah 24: Since the beginning of this year, Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) (Al Tamkeen) has provided consumer environmental requirements at a value of nearly 76000 dirhams, benefiting 31 families of orphans affiliated with the Foundation, including the provision of electrical appliances and consumer equipment necessary for their homes, in order to provide a decent and healthy residential environment for orphans and their families.

Nawal Al Hamdi, Director of the Department of Social Welfare, said that the Foundation interacts with the needs of diverse families, and works to respond effectively to their necessary requirements, evaluates their living conditions, and identifies these needs in order to interact with them, She added that the Foundation intensified efforts to provide the necessary amount in cooperation with members of the community, and a set of basic electrical appliances were provided.

Al Hamdi explained that the Foundation is keen to innovate programmes that create stimulating conditions to raise the standard of living for families, and harness projects that guarantee them the provision of an appropriate environment, aiming to provide comprehensive care that helps improve their living conditions, and work to support poor families to achieve a decent life.

Mother Nima extended her thanks and gratitude to the Foundation and said that SSEF is interested in providing support services to the families, as this care represents an important support for widows to complete their journey in raising children and provide other basic needs.

Through the provision of environmental empowerment programmes, the Foundation seeks to pay attention to living needs and provide the requirements of a suitable and healthy residential environment for orphaned children and their families, due to the positive impact it has on their mental health, through the active participation of community members in this aspect.

These services and implemented projects come within the directions and plans of the Foundation in building an integrated humanitarian work, which aims at developing the capabilities of orphans and achieving the best care for them, in order to provide a stable, safe and supportive environment.
