Sharjah 24: During a visit to the headquarters of the Sharjah Police (SP) in the Al Rahmaniya area, the Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Municipalities, Security, and Public Utilities Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) was briefed on the comprehensive security plans and their response to all events and the needs of the cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, as well as the police services provided.
Obaid Awad Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Committee, committee members, and the Council’s General Secretariat, attended the visit.
The committee was welcomed by Major Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, Brigadier General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amir, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, and senior officers from general directorates and departments.
Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi welcomed the committee, praising the council's interest in the SP’s work and emphasising that the SP is happy to exchange views with the SCC and learn about the community's perspectives on everything related to police work in the Emirate of Sharjah.
Obaid Awad Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Public Utilities Committee, spoke about how important the SP's mission is and how the SCC is keen to learn about its responsibilities and support it.
The members of the committee was then given a tour of the facility by the Commander in Chief and his top commanders. They examined the SP's new place and its several sections.
The SP then made a presentation during the meeting, briefing the SCC committee members on all of SP's efforts in all fields, the indicators of its work, the distinction it has achieved over the past two years, and opportunities for improvement in its various services, as well as the performance of the various work teams.
The plan was drawn up to achieve security and safety and enhance the quality of life in the Emirate of Sharjah, pursuant to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sharjah Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council.
