Colonel Omar Ahmed Abu Al Zoud, Director of the CID of Sharjah Police, explained that the department had received several reports of an unidentified person impersonating a police officer to steal money and seize personal belongings. As a result, a team was assigned to investigate the incidents. Accordingly, the team was able to determine the suspect's features.
The CDI's Director stated that the culprit was confronted with the charges against him after the arrest, which he admitted to committing.
Colonel Abu Al Zoud, explained to the public not to obey the orders of any person until showing a police identification card, pointing out that the police do not ask to see the personal wallet or collect money from the public.
