SSEF works every year to allocate zakat including money and provisions prior to the beginning of the month of Ramadan, which ensures the affiliated families of those with limited income to provide for their needs for the holy month. Accordingly, all beneficiaries were handed over the amounts allocated to them according to the status of each family, its standard of living and the number of members.
In this regard, Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Foundation, said that "Zakki" Ramadan campaign is launched for the fourth year in a row, carrying many programmes, humanitarian projects and services that will meet the needs of orphans' families in the holy month, including the "Zakat" project, which extends throughout the year.
Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi stated that this year, the campaign emerged with the launch of an initiative entitled "Sougha Ramadan", which will provide the opportunity for community members to make gifts that bear the reward to gift them to a relative or friend and make them happy for an orphan and his family, and we make our relatives happy with a gift, by financing any Ramadan project in the Zakk campaign to return. Benefiting orphans' families through campaign projects.
Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi explained that choosing "Zakki" as a slogan for the Ramadan campaign is a kind invitation to the people of generosity, during the month of compassion and solidarity, to contribute to creating hope for the families of needy orphans, and to work to provide them with the simplest necessities of life and stand with them to make a positive difference in their lives.
Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi confirmed her happiness on the importance of strengthening community partnerships to support the targeted initiatives launched by the Foundation throughout the year, noting that the Zakki campaign has achieved great social interaction in the past years, and succeeded in promoting social responsibility in the community, whether with individual participation, or in coordination with government agencies and institutions with the aim of achieving social solidarity to serve the community of orphan families.
The Foundation is keen to take precautionary measures and maintain the requirements of public safety in projects whose implementation requires manual delivery of in-kind materials provided within the framework of the Ramadan campaign "Zakki". The "Zakki" campaign continues throughout the holy month of Ramadan, to provide finicial support to alleviate the financial burden placed on the shoulders of guardians, which eases the difficulties facing their livelihood.
