Sharjah 24 : Ahmed Al Matrooshi, Chairman of Al Rahmaniya Suburb Council of the Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department (SDVAD), honoured the winners of Al Rahmaniya Holy Quran competition at the council’s headquarters in Sharjah. The honouring took place in a ceremony organised Sunday, in addition to honouring the contributors to its Ramadan activities, which concluded after a busy month of activities and programmes.
The ceremony was attended by Majid Al Shamsi, Vice-Chairman of Al Rahmaniyah Suburb Council, council members, a group of invitees and representatives of the authorities and residents.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Qu’ran verses. After that, the Rahmaniyah Suburb Council, represented by the Council’s Chairman Ahmed Al Matrooshi, honoured the contributors to the Ramadan Iftar, after the council supported eighty families by providing nearly 80 food baskets to needy families and tailoring Eid clothes for their children.
During the ceremony, the contributors to the Ramadan evenings were honoured. Three Ramadan evenings were organised.
The ceremony included the honouring of the participants in the Al Rahmaniya competition for the Holy Qur’an in its first session.
During the ceremony, the volunteers who made the Ramadan activities successful were honoured, namely Saeed Abdullah Muhammad, Saud Ali Abdullah, Wahba Saeed Muhammad, and Jawaher Muhammad Ali.
