Sharjah24: Sharjah Police General Command, represented by the Traffic and Patrols Department, in cooperation with the Sharjah Driving Institute, launched a traffic competition coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, with the aim of reaching the highest levels of traffic safety, and achieving the vision of the Ministry of Interior in making roads safer.
Commenting on this, Captain Saud Al Shaiba, Director of Traffic Awareness and Media Branch at the Sharjah Police stressed SP’s keenness to educate its public about all effective methods, aiming to enhance public awareness of the various negative behaviours that result in severe traffic accidents, noting that the competition aims to promote positive awareness in dealing with the road, through interaction between the police and community members through these knowledge-based events on SP’s platforms on social media.
He explained that the competition is broadcasted weekly, through the Instagram account of the General Command of Sharjah Police, and the name of the winner is chosen by the voting system, calling on members of the public to participate in the competition because of its great cultural benefits for the individual and society, through raising awareness of road traffic safety procedures and guidelines.
