A number of content creators on the YouTube platform spoke in the session titled “YouTube and the Equation of Entertainment and Influence.” They are: Mohammed Al Nahit from Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Raafat from Egypt, Basil Al Haj from Jordan, and Mohammed Al Mannai moderated the session.
The speakers discussed the importance of the content offered by the YouTube platform as one of the famous and main platforms for members of society. In addition to the impact of that diverse content that combines the elements of entertainment and positive impact that the community seeks and the creator is interested in, taking advantage of modern social media and the multiple capabilities it offers.
At the beginning of the session, they also discussed their first trends in social media platforms in general and the YouTube platform in particular, and this is related to their love and passion for modern and fast-influencing media, the transfer of new ideas, highlighting talent, and achieving fame. In addition to their keenness to provide content that reflects personal interest.
Mohammed Al Nahit talked about the importance of loving the media itself, diligence in presenting integrated information in a comfortable way for the viewer, and seriousness in training and striving to achieve success, which leads to presenting and creating content that works to achieve the desired effect and attract followers.
He pointed to the advantages offered by YouTube as a platform that has become a wide window for media professionals and creators, giving the opportunity for everyone to present integrated and distinct programmes in modern technologies, which contribute to attracting the attention and follow-up of viewers.
He stressed the importance of benefiting from various experiences, scientific study and proper planning to achieve content that attracts and inspires the community, which will lead to support from official institutions and the private sector alike.
Basil Al Haj addressed the importance of looking at specialisation in providing content and talent to reach viewers and followers, and paying attention to a good and varied preparation for what the content creator offers, as well as harmonising between entertainments and providing new information that achieves the equation of entertainment and benefit at the same time.
Al Haj highlighted that the successful presenter of programmes on the YouTube platform and channels knows well the importance of presenting content and positive impact, pointing out that social media channels are the new TV, hoping that the content creator will have a greater presence in the future.
For his part, Ahmed Raafat said that spontaneity in presenting and addressing general purposeful topics is the most important point of the roadmap for success in creating influential content on YouTube as a platform that opened many horizons for presenting business and investing journalistic and media talents.
He stressed that the audience prefers a balance between entertainment and information, which makes the positive impact required for members of society, which all programmes on modern social media seek.
He added that the interest in renewed content is what achieves the purposeful effect and is the secret of success, explaining the need to provide content and a brief visual material that includes a summary of the idea and accommodates the viewers’ interests, choosing an attractive title, and communicating with people. In addition to taking advantage of the opportunities of freedom to present appropriate materials that take into account the community.
At the end of the first session of the Ramadan Majlis, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi honoured the speakers.
The Ramadan Majlis will organise its second session at Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, next Wednesday, April 20, entitled “Transgenerational Art: The Elements of Industry and Survival.”
The Ramadan Majlis will conclude its activities this year with the third session entitled “The Professional Mindset in Football ... Details of the Unskilled.”
The Ramadan session was attended by Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Media City (Shams), Tareq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, Dr. Mohammed Al Athmni, Director General of Sharjah Police Science Academy, Alia Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, and Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Secretary General of the Sharjah Media Council, and a number of media professionals and interested individuals.
