Sharjah24: The Arabic Language Educational Centre for Gulf States (ALECGS) in Sharjah organised, in its Ramadan majlis, a lecture presented by Prof. Dr. Abdel Hamid Madkour, Secretary-General of the Academy of the Arabic Language in Cairo - Secretary-General of the Federation of Linguistic Academies, entitled: "The Arabic language is the emblem of Islam".
The lecture was moderated by His Excellency Dr. Issa Al Hammadi, Director of the The Arabic Language Educational Centre for Gulf States (ALECGS) in Sharjah, on Wednesday evening.
Dr. Abdul Hamid Madkour saluted His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his efforts in supporting linguistic academies and his keenness to pay attention to the Arabic language.
He pointed out that the lecture is based on two pillars, the Holy Quran and the Arabic language, which deals with the close relationship between the Holy Quran and the Arabic language and the consequences of that relationship, which is characterized by originality and loftiness, and its consequences, the most important of which is the preservation of the Arabic language.
