Sharjah24: Precious Manuscripts" is an eight-episode series about the Holy Qur'an Academy in Sharjah, which holds a museum of rare and precious Qur'anic parchments and copies of the Holy Qur'an. It is broadcast on "Sharjah 24" every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the blessed month of Ramadan. Episode 3 features Dr Bahaa Al-Din Dandis of Sharjah's Studies and Research Department study a parchment of the Holy Qur'an that has been inscribed in broad kufi calligraphy on five lines, with dots appearing as small lines on the letters.
Commenting on this, Dr Bahaa Al-Din Dandis stated that the Red ink is used for Arabic diacritics, and a gold-ink writing is used for the lettering on a large circle ornamented and illuminated with colours and patterns.
